George Devine, District Chair, is pleased to invite All members of Cambridge Scouts to attend the District’s AGM to held at the District Scout Centre.
Date: Saturday 4th October 2025
Arrival from: 1:30pm
AGM start: 2pm
This is the annual meeting of the Cambridge District Scout Council.
The AGM is structured in accordance with Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) Spring 2025.
The Trustees will be seeking your approval to re-adopt the template Constitution provided by The Scout Association.
To help with planning of seating and refreshments, and to inform that the meeting is quorate please register your intention to attend, or give your apology, using the button below which links to a Microsoft Form.
The afternoon is an ideal opportunity to attend the business (AGM) part of the evening, ask questions of the District Team and network with others afterwards.
All of the following are members of the District Scout Council, may vote or show approval for agenda items:
- All adult members with a District role listed in the Chapter 16 Team table (of POR)
- All Group Lead Volunteers from each Group from the District,
- All Group Leadership Team Members of each Group in the District.
- all Group Leadership Team Members of each Group in the District
- all Group Section Team Members of each Group in the District
- All Group Trustee Board Chairs from the District
- All Explorer Scouts (including Young Leaders) in the District
- Two representatives from each District Scout Council, selected by the District Scout Council at their AGM.
- The County Lead Volunteer
- The County Chair
Adult members of Cambridge District Scouts not holding a Group role may also attend and ask questions of the district team but have no voting rights. (double -check)

The venue is located within the grounds of Chesterton Primary School
Teas, coffee and cakes will be available.
Dress code: Uniform, if worn
Limited parking is available at the venue. Please car share where possible.

Open selection process for new Trustees
A selection process was run and successfully resulted in a new District Treasure being co-opted during the year. The meeting will be asked to confirm his appointment for a 3 year period. All other trustees are continuing having been appointed for 3 year term starting from the 2024 AGM.
