Youth Programme Youth Leads

Youth Lead Team

The County Youth Lead team is part of the County Leadership Team and works in partnership with key members of the County Team.

Youth Leads are volunteers aged 18-24 when appointed. They are responsible for driving Youth-Shaped scouting across the County or within one of its eight local Districts.

Youth Leads support volunteers in their County or District to:

  • ensure that activities are informed by young people’s ideas and feedback, and
  • help them to understand the importance of being youth-shaped and put this into practice.

They play a key role in the leadership and management of their County or District.

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers, and it's for everyone. We go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. We make friends, have fun, play games, and work in teams.
