Programme

Cambridgeshire’s Programme Team is here to provide support to our adult volunteers, helping them and their Groups/Districts to deliver even better Scouting to even more young people. #skills for life.

The team oversees and supports the delivery of quality “Youth Shaped” programmes for young people. This includes promoting and supporting Top Awards, supporting Section programmes when activities or events are best done at County scale, make sure that volunteers can do their assessments for activity permits, supporting and advising on plans for travelling abroad.

Programme Section Support Team (4 to 10  yrs)

The team oversees and supports the delivery of quality “Youth Shaped” programmes for young people across the Squirrel Scouts, Beavers Scouts and Cub Scout Sections. The team also team works with the Programme events Team to provide the following annual events:

  • Squirrels Activities days (SquAD)
  • Beavers in Tents (BiT)
  • Beavers Activities Days (BAD)
  • Cub Challenge Days

Programme Section Support Team (11 to 24 years)

The team oversees and supports the delivery of quality programmes for young people across the Scouts, Explorer Scouts and Network Scout Sections. It provides networking and peer support for the District teams with a focus on Top Awards. It also works with the Events, CamJam and its more adventurous teams (see below) to provide appropriate larger or more challenging events best done at County scale.

The Core Top Awards that can be achieved include:

  • Kings Scout Award
  • Duke of Edinburgh
  • Young Leaders Award

Global (International) Team

Cambridgeshire Scouts Global Scout Team aims to help and support member attendance at World Scout Jamborees, including assistance with fundraising and sponsorship deals; but also, working in teams to support and deliver a range of International related advice; read more here

Events Team

The Events Team organise and deliver events that are best done at County scale and focus on Top Awards, recognition or learning

Our Adventurous Activities Team

 

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
