County AGM : 3rd June 2026

 An invite from Alan Sadler, County Chair, was sent to all members at least 21 days before the AGM date. 

Date:  Wednesday 3  June 2026

Arrival from:  7:10pm

AGM start:        7:30pm.

Venue:        Quy Mill Hotel, Church Road, Stow-cum-Quy, Cambridge CB25 9AF (A14, junction 35)

This is the annual meeting of the Cambridgeshire County Scout Council.

The AGM is structured in accordance with Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) Autumn 2024.

The Trustees will be seeking your approval to re-adopt the template Constitution provided by The Scout Association.

We are pleased to confirm that our guests at this year’s AGM are:

  • Mrs Julie Spence OBE CStJ QPM, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (also President of Cambridgeshire Scouts)
  • Ian Newbery (Regional Lead Volunteer)
  • Liz Walker (Regional Lead Volunteer and England Volunteer Development Team Member)
  • Rudy Boddington, County Commissioner, Cambridgeshire West GirlGuiding

The evening will be an ideal opportunity to attend the business (AGM) part of the evening, ask questions of the County Team and network with others afterwards.

All of the following are members of the County Scout Council, may vote or show approval for agenda items:

  • All adult members of Cambridgeshire Scouts with a role in the County
  • All District Lead Volunteers from the County,
  • All District Youth Leads from the County
  • All District Trustee Board Chairs from the County
  • All District Treasurers from the County
  • Two  representatives from each District Scout Council, selected by the District Scout Council at their AGM.
  • The Regional Lead Volunteer (in England)

Adult members of Cambridgeshire Scouts not holding a county role may also attend and ask questions of the county team but have no voting rights.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Dress code: Uniform, if worn

Parking: Although there is ample on site parking, please car share where possible.
