Updated 12 January 2026 (to remove 2 per District restriction in first instance)
Who is this training for?
It is for “leaders” who want to complete the learning as part of the initial steps towards obtaining an Accreditation to become a:
- a Nights Away Assessor, or
- an Activity Assessor, or
- a Learning Assessor
The course is part of a programme being run by the County’s Volunteering Development team to support Districts to secure additional assessors that will facilitate the award of “assessor accreditations”.
In order to obtain a Nights Away, Adventurous Activity or Learning Assessor accreditation learners have to undertake a 4 stage process:
- Step 1: Attend Module 25 training course
- Step 2: Complete topic specific additional training
- Step 3: Undertake validation steps
- Step 4: Attend a validation meeting/session with a learning assessor
