Volunteering Development Team Leader

We have an opportunity for a  Volunteering Development Team Leader on the County team as we start phasing in our new “Place to Belong” Strategy.
  • Are you interested in leading the team that helps makes volunteering brilliant?
  • We’re looking for a strategic, people‑focused leader to oversee volunteer experience across the county — from welcoming new volunteers to helping every adult learn, grow, feel valued and to champion the recognition of volunteers who’ve given outstanding service over the years, ensuring their contribution is celebrated.
  • If you’re great at developing others, building strong teams and making volunteering easy and enjoyable, this leadership opportunity is your chance to shape the future of Cambridgeshire Scouts.
  • External professional experience in Personnel/HR (Human Resources) work would be helpful.

The County Volunteering Development Team makes sure all volunteers in their County have a fantastic volunteering experience. They make it easy for people to join and learn new skills. The team is effectively our H.R. (Human Resources) team providing adult support during the volunteer’s journey with Scouting.

Step up and make a real difference.
