Cambridgeshire Scouts – AGM

 

Alan Sadler, County Chair, is pleased to invite All members of Cambridgeshire Scouts  to attend the County’s AGM to held at Ely Maltings on Thursday 22 June, starting at 7:30pm.

This is the annual meeting of the Cambridgeshire County Scout Council of which every adult member of Cambridgeshire Scouts with a county role is a member and may vote or show approval for Agenda items.

 

All District Commissioners, District Youth Commissioners, District Trustee Board Chairs, Secretaries, Treasurers and Active Support Managers also have vote.

Adult members of Cambridgeshire Scouts not holding a county role may also attend and ask questions of the county team but have no voting rights.

This year, the AGM is structured in accordance with Policy, Organisation and Rules April 2023 and the Trustees are seeking your approval to adopt the template Constitution provided by The Scout Association.

The evening is an ideal opportunity to attend the business (AGM) part of the evening, ask questions of the County Team and network with others – perhaps in the bar afterwards.

Location

For those unfamiliar with Ely, The Maltings in Ship Lane (CB7 4BB) is set in the beautiful surroundings of Ely riverside, with stunning views over the River Ouse and Marina.

Located a short distance from the centre of Ely, with excellent road links to the A14, A1 and M11. Ely’s rail station is just a 5 minute walk away, with quick links to Cambridge and the surrounding areas.

Teas, coffee and cakes are being provided. The Maltings bar will also be open.

Dress code: Uniform, if worn

Free parking is available in both the nearby Ship Lane car park (2 mins walk) or in the Broad Street car park (5 mins walk).
