Alan Sadler, County Chair, is pleased to invite all members of Cambridgeshire Scouts  to attend the County’s AGM to held at Cambridge District Scout Centre on Wednesday 5 June, starting at 7:30pm.

This is the annual meeting of the Cambridgeshire County Scout Council at which every adult member of Cambridgeshire Scouts with the following roles may vote or show approval for Agenda items.

  • All adults with a County role
  • District Commissioners
  • District Youth Commissioners
  • District Chairs
  • District Treasurers
  • District Scout Active Support Managers
  • District Representatives appointed (at their District’s AGM) to represent the District at the County Scout Council’s annual meeting
  • A representative from each of the County Troop, Explorer Scout & Scout Network Forums
  • The Regional Commissioner

Following the AGM there will be an opportunity to ask questions of the County Team, refreshments will then be available and you will be able to network with others.

We are pleased to confirm that Deputy Lieutenant, the Very Reverend Mark Bonney DL, will be  attending  to represent Mrs Julie Spence, His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire.

We are also pleased to learn that our Regional Commissioner, Ian Newbery, will be joining us

Location: Cambridge District Scout Centre, Chesterton Primary school site, 149 Green End Road, Chesterton, Cambridge CB4 1RW.

Dress code: Uniform, if worn

Free parking: As parking may be tight, car sharing is recommended.

Arrival from 7:10pm so we can make a prompt start at 7:30pm

Selection process for Trustees (new from April 2024)

To comply with The Scout Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules 5.3.1.4, the County’s Trustee Board has  held an open selection process to  choose the Trustees that the AGM will be asked to appoint. The Trustees will now be focussed purely on governance. More details of the selection process can be found by clicking the button below.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
