Woodland Whispers

Date: 9th Mar 2025 Author: David Briston

On 22 February 2025, around 30 Squirrel, Beaver & Cub team members attended the County’s networking opportunity for the three sections at County Office in St Ives. The aim of the drop-in day was to share ideas for section programmes and future County Section events and, importantly, to obtain support with Section planning and some of the national changes to Scouting processes.

Woodland Whispers

Diane Philbey, County Programme Team Leader (for the 4 – 10½ ages),  hopes that everyone found the gathering useful.  The ideas, comments and questions placed on Section colour co-ordinated  “Post-its” were fantastic. These are all being followed up, particularly the great suggestions, with some being passed to attendees’ Districts.

The aim is to have two Woodland Whisper events each year, if possible. It’s hoped the date for next event, mostly likely in September 2025, will be published soon.

Thank you also to those who have signed up either before, or at, Woodland Whispers to help with future County Sections’ events.
