County Cub Challenge Day – October 2023

Date: 13th Oct 2023 Author: David Briston

“Epic” best describes around 250 Cub Scouts’ visit to Copley Scout Centre in St Ives, for the annual County Cub Challenge Days on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October for the 9yrs-10.5 yrs old girls and boys.

Elaine Chamberlain, event leader, and her team arranged an amazing range of activity bases including, archery, tomahawk throwing, caving, climbing wall, pioneering, camp cooking, fire lighting, aerial runway, catapults and an escape room over the two days of fun-packed challenges, with many of the volunteer leaders also having a go themselves.

Pictured are some photos from the day, including pre-event set up (on the Friday) and the occasional chill out slot for some of our volunteers.
