Youth Commissioners

The County Youth Commissioner works in partnership with key members of the County Team.

Youth Commissioner teams are volunteers aged 18-24 when appointed They are responsible for driving Youth-Shaped scouting across the County or within one of its eight local Districts.

Youth Commissioners support volunteers in their County or District to:

  • ensure that activities are informed by young people’s ideas and feedback, and
  • help them to understand the importance of being youth-shaped and put this into practice.

They play a key role in the leadership and management of their County or District.
