Scout Network gives opportunities to 18-25 year-olds who have an interest in Scouting, their own personal development and having fun. Scout Network members take part in a variety of self-led activities, which they organise and run themselves with the support of a District Scout Network Commissioner and sometimes also a Programme Coordinator.
The Programme is divided into the 3 areas of community, international and adventure. Scout Network members create, organise and participate in events and projects with others – building a team, seeking new challenges and being rewarded along the way.
Some take part in so many adventures they also earn their Queen’s Scout Award, like those in the photos below (although we can’t promise Chief Scout Bear Grylls will be on hand to present it!), Chief Scout Diamond Award and / or Scouts of the World Award
Many Scout Network members also volunteer with local Groups, Explorer Units and Districts, as well as being members of the County Team, working in a variety of roles – there are some great examples on our opportunities page.
