Cromwell District covers the market town of St Ives and the surrounding villages.

The District houses 14 Scout Groups, 3 Explorer Scout Units and 1 Young Leader Explorer Scout Unit in multiple locations – providing an everyday adventure from the age of 6 to 25 years old. It is also home to a lovely 4 acre woodland campsite, with building, available for hire – the Copley Scout Centre.

Around 850 youth members meet weekly in the district, taking take part in a wide range of activities.

These young people are supported by an enthusiastic team of around 280 leaders and supporters who work together to ensure Scouting is both challenging and fun, for the young people and adults alike. This includes a Scout Active Support Unit, known as the Cromwell Mountain Club, who provide exciting hill walking and mountaineering experiences to young people and adults in Cromwell District.

  • Cromwell Young Leader Unit meet irregularly and are a ‘virtual’ unit, (PE27 6DT)
