Unable to camp together for BiT this year, we’ve gone virtual with V-Bit 2020. Beavers from all over Cambridgeshire camped ‘together’ in their own homes and gardens by participating in the same activities at the same time and sharing their adventures, as they happened on the internet.

Introducing the camp via Facebook live we invited the beavers and their families to put up their tents or make their dens, decorate them with bunting, flags and nightlights. We asked them to make paper chain friends and lockdown pictures before joining together again for a roaring campfire. In the morning we gathered together again for a moments reflection followed by beaver designed and engineered assault courses; making microwave mug cakes, armpit fudge and snacks on toast and complicating ‘unlock the lockdown locks’, our own version of an escape room.

Not just the beavers had fun, their siblings and parents Joined in too as well as the BiT leadership team!
