The first Raspberry Pi workshop in the country took place in Cambridge on 25th January, a test event before it is rolled out wider.

Here’s what Ian Dugdale (DCC – Programme) had to say after a very successful day for volunteers from across the County:

“It went very well, with leaders looking at how to do the Digital Maker Staged badges with differing age groups. Raspberry Pi will be concentrating on roll-out of this training across other areas of the country before we’ll get another go. However, two things worth consideration: we have some very talented IT people who are leaders – quite a few of them were there yesterday and we’re looking at how we can use that in-county to spread the Training. We can book Raspberry Pi’s space for sessions we run and I’ll look at other venues in other parts of the county too.

Following up from the workshop, we are now also looking to form a group of people who are interested in developing ideas for helping to deliver the Digital Staged badges across all age groups. If you are interested in this – regardless of whether you were on the course or not, it would be great to hear from you. We have some initial volunteers but the more the merrier.”

Details of future workshops will be shared on this website and via Facebook in due course. if you would like to volunteer to join the team please select “Programme” when you Get in Touch.
