Peterborough Scouts are looking for a new District Commissioner, our lead volunteer manager in the city.

The Peterborough District covers the City of Peterborough, including some of the surrounding towns and villages. Every week, Peterborough Scouts welcome and provide over six hundred 6 to 25-year-olds from our diverse community and backgrounds with the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

The role is both rewarding and challenging, providing an opportunity to develop yourself and those around you through motivation and empowerment. There will be opportunities to meet young people and adults from all walks of life, whose lives have been changed by Scouting. Working with the wider District team you’ll inspire, support and develop local scout groups to grow and deliver even more exciting and adventurous activities for more young people.

No prior experience of Scouting is needed to apply for this role: we’ll make sure you’re fully trained and supported.
