Dear Leaders, Young Leaders, Explorers, Parents and Carers.
On behalf of the Cambridgeshire Scouts First Aid training team, I am extremely pleased to announce a Lockdown edition of Module K: First Aid Masterclass for our Young Leaders / Explorer Scouts.
We will be running the sessions via Zoom in accordance with Scout HQ safety guidance (https://www.scouts.org.uk/volunteers/scouts-at-home/staying-safe-online/digital-platforms-for-scouts/).
There will be four adults on the training team in the online conference room at all times to ensure safeguarding with password protection to enter the conference, to ensure we are keeping young people safe.
The course will be 3 hours long in total with 30 minute intervals between each section (each section lasts an hour) and we will be running the courses on 23rd and 24th May 2020 (info and times can be seen on the google form).
The course online is interactive and theory based and we highly recommend a minimum of a PC/laptop or tablet, together with headphones with built in mic or gaming headsets, as available.
Once this course is completed the young person will be eligible to attend a 5 hour practical course, once lockdown is over. Once the practical course has been completed the Young Leader / Explorer will be signed off as having completed Module K and will receive their Emergency Aid level 5 badge.
Young Leaders Explorers that would like to attend will need a Parent/Carer/Guardian permission by completing the google form below:
Once the form is received, a member of the Training Team will be in touch to confirm a place on the course, together with joining instructions. This will be no later than one week before the course. Please remember places will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so get your completed form submitted as soon as you can.
Any questions please do not hesitate in contacting myself or George Hall on the emails below :
We look forward to seeing you on the course.
Asa, Tom, George and Colin
