As of 26th December  2020 the whole of Cambridgeshire Scouts is now placed in Tier 4.

This means no face to face scouting can take place until further notice, based on updated advice from The Scouts.

The Scouts readiness level page has been updated, and Government COVID-19 regulations of  Tier 4 (Stay home) apply.

We know this will be unwelcome news to everyone that has put considerable effort into enabling the return to face to face scouting – something much needed by our young people and adults alike in these unprecedented times.

The upside is that there continues to be an increasing number of ready made virtual / remote ideas to help leaders with their programme planning. For more information head to:

  •  Scouts at home | Scouts
  • If you use On-line Scout Manager there are ideas on there
  • Take a look at the relevant closed Section Cambridgeshire Facebook Group and / or the various national closed Facebook scouting groups (including the relatively new “1st Virtual Scout Group”)
  • If you are a scouting volunteer please keep an eye on your e-mails as by the end of the 3rd of January 2021 there will be a County Newsletter focussing on scouting in the continued pandemic
  • If you have received an invitation to the GSL online briefing on 12th January please do try and take part (or nominate someone to), as this will include an update on further training and support requested in the most recent survey

Not a member of Cambridgeshire Scouts? Then  perhaps you can help by offering virtual sessions for Spring 2021 – we’d love to hear your ideas! Simply get in touch!
