Scouting is all about encouraging every young person to fulfil their potential, and the Queen’s Scout Award (QSA) is a great example. As with many of scouting’s Top Awards the reward is not just the award itself, but the journey of adventure and self development taken to achieve it.
Cambridgeshire Scouts have just launched a series of 5 Zoom workshops for QSA participants between now and the end of the summer term.
The sessions are open to all Cambridgeshire Explorer Scouts (including Young Leaders), Network members and all other adults members in any role (aged 18 to 25). Due to the impact of Covid-19, the upper age limit has been temporarily lifted so if you have turned 25 since 17 March 2020 you can still continue to work towards the award.
The first workshop is about requirements and getting started, and will be held on 22nd March 7.30pm to 9.00pm. To book onto the session, see details of the other workshops or find out what to do if you can’t make them take a look here.
Here are just a few photos of recent recipients (although we can’t promise our Chief Scout, Bear Grylls, will present it!), and we know of at least 2 more that are awaiting presentation too.
