Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

This two day Mental Health First Aiders course provides a more in depth understanding of specific mental health issues and is delivered in four manageable chunks:−
- What is mental health?
- Depression and anxiety
- Suicide and psychosis
- Self-harm and eating disorders
It focuses on the issues faced by young people today, such as cyber bullying and substance misuse, and teaches how to promote protective factors.
Successfully completing this new two day course qualifies you as a Youth Mental Health First Aider.
You need to attend both days, but no overnight stay is required. This course is taking place in a different location each day (approx 5 miles apart). Saturday is taking place at 1st Newmarket Scouts and Sunday is in 1st Fordham Scout Group HQ – full address details of both on booking page and confirmation e-mails (anyone who had booked before this change was e-mailed on 7th January with this update).
