County Annual General Meeting
30th June @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a compulsory yearly meeting of the County Scout Council with important legal aspects and key, mandatory business that must be covered. Where papers are shared in advance then they do not have to be read out in full (or paper wasted in printing off more copies than needed), meaning the event is compliant but not too boring, lengthy or tedious!
The AGM is your chance to learn about what has been happening in your county, have your say where entitled to vote and ensure that all members are represented at this important event.
As Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society the County Executive are also keen to ask all members to encourage more under 25s to actively participate (something that many Groups and Districts are also keen to encourage, where not already in place).
The agenda, annual accounts and report from Nigel Poulter, County Treasurer were emailed to all in Cambridgeshire Scouts (except Occasional helpers) on 23rd June.
This will be a virtual meeting, and the link will be sent to all those who book to attend – bookings close at 11pm on 28th June (the system will email all those who have booked to attend automatically on 29th June. Please check your spam filters if required).
