1st August – Scout Necker / Scarf Day – 20 prizes available!
Where will you wear yours….. 1st August is National Necker / Scarf day. 20 prizes available!
The aim is to show the world the “Spirit of Scouting” is alive and well, and is celebrated on the anniversary of that first camp at Brownsea.
We’re sharing here so everyone will hopefully have time to pack their necker / scarf if heading of on holiday, and for everyone to note the date in their diary.
Cambridgeshire Scouts have some individual prizes available, as follows – a maximum of 1 prize per category for individual entries from a Beaver, a Cub, a Scout, an Explorer and an adult volunteer (so up to 20 prizes on offer!):
– furthest geographical distance from County Office in St Ives
– SkillsForLife in action
– at work
– holiday fun
Entries have to be submitted via the news story form (on the form please tick the “competition” box) with at least one clear photo, and no later than midnight on 2nd August.
Photos submitted will be used for the internal / external promotion of scouting (no names will be used when doing so unless separately agreed). Each entry must state the name of the person, the exact location and what was taking place, the name of the Cambridgeshire Scout Group / Unit / District the person is a member of.
Maximum of one prize per individual. Judges decision is final, winners will be announced by the 14th August. Prizes will need to be collected from County Office in due course (either during opening hours or by someone attending one of the many meetings / courses that take place there).
We look forward to seeing the photos!!!!
