Scouts Celebrate an Excellent Adventure
Cambridgeshire Scouting has honoured almost 300 of its Young Heroes from across the County. Children as young as eight stepped up to receive awards for dedicated participation in adventurous activities and helping better the community and our environment from The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Mr David Riddington.
Top Awards 2008, which took place at the Hinchingbooke Performing Arts Centre, Huntingdon, celebrated the very best of what young people can achieve together.
Awards included some of the highest merits like the Chief Scouts Award, the Queens Scouts Award and the nationally recognised Duke of Edinburgh Award.
The 2009 event will take place at the Holiday Inn Thorpe Wood, Peterborough on Sunday 29th November 2009.
