Cub Challenege Day 2009

A record number of more than 300 Cub Scouts (boys and girls aged nine and ten) from all over Cambridgeshire descended on the Copley Scout Campsite and Holt Island Scout Centre, St Ives for the annual Challenge Day.

Cubs tackled canoeing, climbing wall, archery, first aid, orienteering, firelighting, cooking and an assult course during the weekend. And for many of them it was the first time they had given these activities a go.

Once again, Copley Scout Campsite and Holt Island, on the River Ouse at St Ives proved to be a fantastic location for young people to experience the fun, excitement and adventure of Scouting.
