07.08.08 - Explorers return from Maltese Adventure

12 Explorer Scouts and three leaders from the Phoenix Explorer Unit in south Cambridge have returned home after an amazing 11-day Maltese adventure. The trip, which took advantage of many aquatic and cultural activities in Malta, continues the group's ongoing international ventures with previous expeditions to Italy and Poland.

09.07.08 - Beavers Scan the Summer Sky

The 14th Cambridge Beavers have been scanning the heavens with an evening at a local observatory. Though they didn't find any signs of extra-terrestrial activity, they did spot the moon, some stars and distant planets

06.07.08 - Animal Friendly Beavers in Nature-based sleepover

30 Beavers from the 12th, 18th and 26th Cambridge have been learning about wildlife at a special nature-based sleepover. The event, held at Milton Community Centre and Country Park, took advantage of the local surroundings and provided a great opportunity for the Beavers to investigate animal habitats and ecosystems.

20.06.08 - Beavers get Soaked at District Aquathon

120 Beavers from across Cambridge and Granta have descended on Abington campsite for an activity day with a difference. The District Beaver Aquathon was an event with one sole purpose...to get everyone extremely wet!

16.06.08 - Cubs raise £367 for Charity

The 18th Cambridge Cubs swapped hiking boots for running shoes in an effort to raise money for a charity of their choosing. As part of their Community Challenge Badge, the Cubs were asked to find sponsorship for running as many laps of the Arbury Town Green as they could within 45 minutes.

01.05.08 - 18th Cambridge launch Media Gallery

The 18th Cambridge Scout Group have launched a fantastic new media facility online. The Gallery is home to photos, audio clips and video footage from scouting events and weekly meetings, with the aim of promoting scouting activities locally.

Scouts3rd Wisbech Scouts in the Highlands

How about this for a Summer Camp for Scouts and Explorers?

The Isle of Arran, Scotland is one of the most southerly Scottish island and sits in the Firth of Clyde between Ayrshire and Kintyre. Arran is 19 miles long by 10 miles wide but has a remarkable diversity of landscapes and seascapes.

Peterborough Gang Show

Peterborough Gang ShowPeterborough Gang has just returned with their 61st show and a cast of 100 of which 60 are Cubs and Scouts up to the age of 14 from the two Peterborough Districts.

They have been busy rehearsing for this year’s show from June also doing their normal Scout, Cub and Guide activities.

Scouts Celebrate an Excellent Adventure

TopAwards 2008Cambridgeshire Scouting has honoured almost 300 of its Young Heroes from across the County. Children as young as eight stepped up to receive awards for dedicated participation in adventurous activities and helping better the community and our environment from The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Mr David Riddington.
