Cambridge Rag support to local Scouting is much appreciated

Scouts from Cambridgeshire attending Eurojam this Summer have received a financial boost from the Cambridge University Rag Appeal at a special presentation for members of the Cambridge Community Volunteer Service.
Three members of the 12 strong Cambridge contingent were present at Trinity College on Saturday for the Cambridge Community Volunteer Service presentation to receive a cheque for £400 from the President of Cambridge Rag, Dominic Hinton.
Scouts were one of 40 local organisations to benefit from the fund raising activities of Cambridge students this year. All up cheques to a total value of £18,000 were presented to Cambridge community organisations and the Community Volunteer Service.
Alistair Easterfield, Cambridge Contingent Leader is very grateful for the generous University donation: “Cambridge Students showed true Scouting adventure and spirit with fund raising events such as bungee jumping and the ever popular blind date! This raised an outstanding £126,000.”
