Cambridgeshire Scout Training

All adult members of the Scout Association have to take training according to their needs to fulfil their responsibilities within the Movement.

In Cambridgeshire this training is supervised by the County Training Manager and Deputy County Commissioner, Chris Halliday, and his team.

More information on Adventurous Activity Training is available in the Activities area of the site.

Module 3: Getting Started (Tools for the job for section assistants and leaders) runs throughout the County on a frequent basis.

The course is part of the Getting Started programme and is appropriate for all new adult volunteers to Scouting working with young people.

Email: jane.carter@cambridgeshirescouts.org.uk

Adult training modules will be held around the county during 2010.  Please check the Diary below.

You can attend modules outside your Zone and you don’t need to do the modules in order. If you only need to attend one of the modules being held, or you only have time to attend one, you can do so.You can download application forms here:

After you have attended a module you will need to be validated for your learning and knowledge. Who can validate you? Any suitably qualified Leader can assist in the validation process this may, for example, be by confirming observation of specific activity, confirming you have completed a task such as running a game. It is however your appointed Training Advisor who confirms that the evidence provided is sufficient and to the required standards.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
