Funding Opportunities
HSBC Funding
Every year, HSBC supports a wide range of projects and initiatives throughout the communities where we do business. Their aim is to help raise the academic achievement of young people and improve their vocational skills with formal and informal learning. This commitment to the development of young people across the UK is both long-standing and ongoing. In particular, they believe that supporting primary and secondary education, especially for the disadvantaged, is essential for the well-being and prosperity of us all. There are a range of programmes that they currently support.

Cambridgeshire County Council Small Grants Scheme 2009-10:
Open 1 July 2008
Funded period April 2009-March 2010. Closing Date Wednesday 1 October 2008
The County Council has about £45,000 to distribute to organisations, which contribute to the authority's objectives and priorities for work with children and young people. Small groups with a total income of less than £50,000 a year can apply for grants of up to £3,000 each.
To be eligible to apply, a group must be a not-for-profit organisation, have a total income of less than £50,000 a year and be doing work which directly benefits children and young people of the Cambridgeshire County Council area.
They must show they are in need of financial help, be properly managed and promote equal opportunites. Groups must also comply with Criminal Records Bureau checks where necessary.
The County Council is keen to support groups that have not previously applied and new groups just starting up. Match funding is not a requirement, but applicants will be expected to demonstrate that other sources of funding have been sought.
All those receiving grants will be required to complete and submit a short monitoring form six months after the award to show how the money has helped.
