Land Activities incorporates many Scout Activities that happen on or below the Land.
These next pages give fun, challenging, adventurous, exhilarating, friendly, temperamental Activities and some have an element of controlled risk.
Activities, can be character building and teach team spirit. Every Scout should be given the chance to try one or more land activities.
With the correct equipment, instruction and leadership these can become enjoyable activities.

TAKE YOUR SCOUTS YOUTH HOSTELLING
Make a change from Camping, take your scouts on an easy to organise weekend.
The accommodation at a Youth Hostel varies these days from basic, to bordering on the luxurious and it's an economical way to get into the great outdoors. You can either have your meals prepared for you by some of the friendly Hostel volunteers or self-cater.
Or even rent a complete hostel for your Group or try a Camping Barn. (A brick tent)
YHA also offer a wide range of exciting and imaginative holidays and weekend breaks throughout England and Wales. Try a YHA Activity Centre it caters for all levels from taster multi-activity weekends to leadership awards and qualifications.
