All flying has some element of risk and must therefore be regulated by the appropriate national body and undertaken in accordance with POR and under the auspices of flying/gliding, etc., clubs in the area. Contact the adviser for more details.
Members planning to undertake air activities are required to notify Scout Headquarters (tel 020 8433 7100) of their plans well in advance of the date of the activity.
Gliding and Parascending are the easiest ways to get airbourne and can be arranged locally at modest cost.
Why not take your Scouts GLIDING
The Faulkes Flying Foundation provides flight training for Scouts countrywide from bases at Gamlingay (near Cambridge), Lasham and Dunstable. The Foundation's Super Blank glider and Rotax Falke motor glider are used under the guidance of an Air Scout Leader. Go on book a session or go to Dunstable for a camping weekend.

Provide High Adventure, with spectacular views.
Give them an Adrenalin rush
The local Scout Club operate from an Airfield just North of Peterborough. The activity is designed for individual Scouts or Groups.
