Training Opportunities

There are many training opportunities for Adults within the County, listed below are some of these:

Paddlesports
Range supervisor
Archery
Climbing Wall Supervisor
Orienteering
Hillwalking
Water Activity
Safety Awareness

If you have a requirement to learn any skill or activity, it is quite possible that so does someone else and that a course can then be arranged.

 

Air Rifle - Range Marshalls Course

Get the Qualification necessary to Supervise your Scout Group Air Rifle Shooting.

This Course will not teach you to Shoot, but will enable you to Supervise the Activity at your own range or at someone else's or to use the facilities at National Campsites.

 

Archery - Supervisors Course

To run an Archery Session Leaders need to be trained to the standard of the Community Sports Leadership Award of the Grand National Archery Society

Archery as a sport can provide the opportunity to improve skills and learn new ones.

This will enable you to Supervise the Activity at your own venue or at someone else's or to use the facilities at National Campsites.

 

 

 
 
 

LEADERS Introduction to Paddlesport

for all Beaver, Cub, Scout & Explorer Leaders also Commissioners, Assistants and all Adult Helpers. (no youngsters)

For beginners or those with more experience you will introduced to the joys of Canoeing

Narrowboat Driving Course

If you propose to hire a Narrowboat without a professional driver, then you need to demonstrate that you are at the standard of the RYA Narrowboat Helmsman.

Alternatively get the qualification, RYA Narrowboat Helmsman Certificate Training and Assessment one day Courses are held locally at very modest price.

Special Cambridgeshire Scout Leaders price, based on a group of 3 ... £80 per person

For those Leaders fom outside Cambridgeshire £95 per person, but still terrific value
