| Heart FM has kindly agreed to host two workshops for Explorer Scouts and members of the Scout Network in Audio and Video Editing and Interviewing Techniques. These will take place during October and November at the Heart FM studio, Priory Business park, Bedford. |  |
Audio and Video editing will cover the techniques used in radio and television to produce sequences such as news items. The workshop will be hands on and there will be an opportunity to use the new skills afterwards as part of the Cambridgeshire Scouts media team.
The Interviewing Techniques workshop will focus on how to conduct a radio interview as the interviewer and interviewee, providing lots of practical tips.
We are also planning a media project for those attending the workshops to get involved in. I am intending this to be a Cambridgeshire Scouts Podcast to go onto the County and Heart FM websites.
Dates for the workshops are set out below. There is no cost but young people taking part will need to make their own transport arrangements to and from Bedford.
If you would like to attend or know of young people who would be interested then please let me know as soon as possible. I need numbers for the first workshop by Monday 5th October
