CaSE - Expeditions
Cambridgeshire Scout Expeditions has been set up to offer Cambridgeshire Scouts experience of communities across the world, which otherwise, might not be accessible to them.
The objectives are to raise awareness of international issues and an understanding of our world today and to take an active part in the global community. It offers support to those groups who may not have the knowledge or facilities to give longer term international experiences to young people in the 16-25 age group.
Project Meridian was the first expedition undertaken by CaSE and was an initiative between Scouts from Cambridgeshire, Harpenden and Hohoe in Ghana. The project provided Explorers and Network members 4 weeks in the Volta region of Ghana, building a Scout training centre, which has become the centre for outreach programmes to help and assist with the development of young African people.
