There are 8 Scout Groups and an Explorer Scout Unit in the Nene District based in and around the southern part of the City of Peterborough.
There are 400 young people that look forward to the Scouting adventure each week in Nene and 100 committed adults make this a reality for them.

I am delighted to officially announce the appointment of Alan Sadler as District Commissioner for Nene, pending Appointment Advisory Committee approval.
Alan has been an active member of Nene District for over 10 years and will officially take up the role on 1st March.
Alan brings a wealth of experience to the position, and is well equipped for the adventure, having had a career in the Armed Forces and also been involved in Venture Scouting and Explorer Scouting! He is currently a GSL, but the Groups loss is the Districts gain. I’m sure the members of Nene District will extend a warm welcome to Alan, and offer him their full support, as we work together towards our shared 2018 vision.
