Ely District covers the City of Ely, with its magnificent Cathedral, and surrounding Fenland towns and villages. With the recent addition of 3rd Ely, the district now has 8 different Scout groups, 2 Explorer Scout Units and is home of the Chipmunks Network Scout Unit which operates between Ely and our neighbouring district of Newmarket.
About 500 youth members meet weekly in Ely district. They take part in a wide range of activities supported by an enthusiastic team of leaders and supporters who work together to ensure Scouting is both challenging and fun for the young people and adults alike.

Following the successful trips to Denmark in 2008, Germany in 2010 and the Netherlands in 2012, Ely District Scouts are planning to take a contingent of Scouts & Explorer Scouts to Austria in Summer 2014.
We will be camping at Zellhof Scout Centre, about 10 miles North of Salzburg. See www.zellhof.at for details of the site.
2014 is the 100th year of Scouting in Ely district and as such we thought it would be great to take 100 young people on this trip! That’s almost double the number we took to the Netherlands!!
Visit www.elydistrictscouts.co.uk for further information.
