Castell Mountain Cottage

Castell Cottage

Castell is a 150 year old shepherd's cottage set in the wild and wonderful countryside of the Snowdonia National Park about seven miles south west of Bala. It belongs to the Castell Mountain Cottage Trust and was bought by people with insight and vision for young people to use as a base from which to experience, hopefully to enjoy, activities and a lifestyle very different from normal.

Living together in simple conditions, enjoying challenges, comradeship and physical exercise are what Castell is all about. The old place can be both challenging and forgiving, testing and welcoming. Once you have experienced its character you will never forget it!
