Cub Scouts

Planning is well under way for the next week long camp open to all Cub Scouts to enjoy at Gilwell, 25th to 31st May 2013.

The aim of Cubjam is to offer Cub Scouts from across the UK the opportunity to join together for a week of “jamboree” style fun, reminding them that they have much in common with each other – no matter their background or where they are from. Cubjam aims to give them a taste of the adventure that lies ahead in years to come. The wide range of activities offered during Cubjam help the Cub Scouts learn new skills, try new experiences and make new friends. The location also means it is a great way for parents to give their children a bit of freedom to gain their independence in a safe environment.

We aim to use technology to enhance, and not hamper, the whole experience at every stage. This includes providing resources through the website to help Leaders planning to bring a contingent through to helping worried parents feel like they are there by keeping them updated with daily camp life.

We now have the basics set up on the new Cubjam2013 website, so please feel free to take a look. More photos etc will be added shortly. Go to www.cubjam.org.uk

You can learn all about Cubjam, read the fun and see some photos from Cubjam2009, register an interest in possibly bringing a contingent, see 4 manager vacancies ( Entertainment Manager, Office Manager, Stage Manager and Lead presenter / Master of Ceremonies) and how to apply as well as register an interest in joining the team (anything from website to activity instructors and sub camp teams to stage crew). There are also some downloads of flyers / posters to help get people's interest for now.

Make sure you check out the "website updates" page, so you can see how we will be working hard to make life easier for busy leaders in the coming months.

So, if you might like to bring a contingent or help make the fun happen why not visit the website and register interest now.

We look forward to seeing some of you there!
