My role is not only offering advice and guidance where needed and being involved with the effective delivery of Scouting’s safeguarding training within the County, but I am also responsible for ensuring that the Association’s safeguarding policies are understood and implemented at all levels.

All those subject to an appointment review i.e. anyone who holds an appointment except for Occasional Helpers; Scout Active Support and those in elected roles will be required to undertake Safeguarding Training at the point of their 5 year review.  From 30 June 2011 reviews should only take place where the relevant training has been completed.

During 2011 training courses will be run throughout the County and are advertised on the Cambridgeshire Scout County web page at: Adult Training

Edition Four of the Yellow Card – Young People First is the only card that should be used – please destroy all old cards.
