Cambridgeshire Scouts

Welcome to Scouting in Cambridgeshire

Want to join the Cambridgeshire Scouting adventure?

6,000 young people aged 6 to 25 enjoy the Scouting adventure every week across Cambridgeshire through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network.

It takes over 1,200 adult volunteers to make this happen as Scout Leaders, Assistants, Helpers, Managers and Administrators, all playing a major part in delivering an amazing adventure week in, week out.

Scouting in Cambridgeshire is active, vibrant and growing, in fact we have grown for the last four years. Just over the last twelve months all youth sections have grown with 8% more adults this year than last, they enjoy working with young people and many adults developing themselves through the training and support we offer.

There are more young people enjoying the adventure of Scouting, the challenges and opportunities it brings plus the rewards for youth and adult members alike that such a highly respected organisation can offer.

We look forward to developing further and welcoming more members of all ages, there is something exciting for everyone, to get involved in, contribute, grow and enjoy the adventure.

So what about you, ever wanted to learn a new skill as a Cub, scale new heights as a Scout or even hold a camp as a Leader, why not join the adventure today and make it happen!

To join the Cambridgeshire Scouting adventure as a young person or adult volunteer, please complete the Scout Association enquiry form by clicking here.

Scouting Welcomes Royal Volunteer

The Scout Association is today welcoming the Duchess of Cambridge to the adventure of Scouting, as Her Royal Highness announces that she is to become a volunteer in the movement.

The Duchess will primarily help out at scout groups close to her home in North Wales, as well as others elsewhere from time to time as opportunities arise. She will be focusing mainly on cub scout packs and beaver scout colonies, with boys and girls aged from six to ten.

Dont Raise Our RentsYou may have seen in the national press today that the Scout Association has launched the 'Don't Raise Our Rents!' campaign and  Bear Grylls has publicly voiced his concern about this issue If your Scout Group is affected by rent increases from local councils then this campaign encourages them to keep to fair and affordable rent increases or rate changes.

Local councils across the UK are gearing up to impose unreasonable rent increases which will threaten the future of Scout Groups.

CubJam2013 planning is well under way
17/03/2011

Planning is well under way for the next week long camp open to all Cub Scouts to enjoy at Gilwell, 25th to 31st May 2013.

The aim of Cubjam is to offer Cub Scouts from across the UK the opportunity to join together for a week of “jamboree” style fun, reminding them that they have much in common with each other – no matter their background or where they are from. Cubjam aims to give them a taste of the adventure that lies ahead in years to come. The wide range of activities offered during Cubjam help the Cub Scouts learn new skills, try new experiences and make new friends. The location also means it is a great way for parents to give their children a bit of freedom to gain their independence in a safe environment.
